On Friday, May 6th The Birmingham Zoo Junior Board hosted a fun and entertaining night at the 12th Annual ‘Tails in the Trails fundraising event benefitting the new Cougar Crossing habitat at the Zoo! Guests were invited to party down in the Trails of Africa at this outdoor celebration where guests were treated to exciting animal experiences like mingling with the flamingos, feeding the elephants and giraffes, a lion bone toss, a bongo chat, and many of the Zoo’s ambassador animals that were in attendance to delight and educate. All of this and more was highlighted by music from a live DJ, “foodie favorites” from area restaurants, beer, wine, two specialty cocktails, and a silent auction!
