About Us

About Town is Birmingham’s Social Scene. We highlight the local charity scene—capturing the most philanthropic people and events in the Birmingham area by presenting positive, informative and local interests.

The first issue of About Town was printed in November 2005. We’re proud that our history is directly connected to the many charities that serve Birmingham, as each issue highlights their fundraising efforts.

About Town is released every 6-weeks (8 issues a year). Because About Town is a complimentary magazine, readership is extremely high and incomparable to paid publications. Roughly half of the copies are mailed to select areas in the Birmingham and the remainder are distributed in high traffic areas in the ‘Over the Mountain Area’, with a pick-up rate of nearly 100%.
