The Rotaract Club of Birmingham's Foundation Ball supports the Rotaract Club of Birmingham’s Signature Service programs called Ready2Succeed and Ready2Read.
"Our Ready2Succeed program benefits graduating students of Parker High School, and the goal is to be a resource for these students and to increase the number of post-secondary scholarships and financial aid being applied for and awarded to these students. Our Ready2Read program benefits students of Avondale Elementary and I3 Academy. The purpose is to help encourage a love of reading, invest our members’ time in Birmingham City Schools, and help students develop creativity and critical thinking skills. We accomplish this by donating library books, sending members to visit classrooms twice a month to read with students, and award incentive prizes to students. Our Ready2Read Program started in 2009 as a way to encourage a love of reading, invest our members’ time in Birmingham City Schools, and help students develop creativity and critical thinking skills. Our Ready2Succeed Program started in 2014, as a way to help students within Birmingham City Schools with college and career readiness."
