Pointe Ball 2020

The Alabama Ballet held their 20th annual signature black tie Pointe Ball gala at The Club.   The theme for this year was Blue Suede Shoes, a full-length ballet set to 36 master recordings of Elvis Presley music that combines classical ballet with classic rock. The Alabama Ballet performed this production October 4-6 at the BJCC Concert Hall. A selection from Blue Suede Shoes was performed that evening of the Pointe Ball.  The event began with an intimate performance by Alabama Ballet’s professional company members in the Ball Room of The Club. Following the performance, guests along with Artistic Director, Tracey Alvey, the Alabama Ballet Staff and members from the company enjoyed a gourmet dinner with the amazing night views of Birmingham. After dinner, guests enjoyed dessert and dancing with music provided by Celebrity All Star Band.  This year’s gala commemorated Scott and Cameron Vowell.  They are very thankful to their 2020 Corporate Chair, Mr. Jeremy Retherford and their 2020 Gala Committee Chairs, Mary Bradley Anderson and Lauren Pearson.
