Easterseals of Birmingham held their Mardi Gras Reclaimed 3 staged event at Highland Park Golf Course on Saturday, May 22nd. The event began with a Virtual Run between May 17-22 and runners were encouraged to deck out in their Mardi Gras attire for their virtual runner photos! Runners were also invited to Highland Park Golf Course on Saturday for a mimosa and an in-person viewing of the Silent Auction sponsored by Diamonds Direct and to pick up their medals. Special guest Mayor Randall Woodin even made an appearance at the event!
For the golfing portion of the event, guests had a 2pm shotgun start and enjoyed a Redmont Vodka Transfusion upon check-in, Vulcan Gin & Tonic on the turn, Old Forester Bourbon tasting on hole #11, dinner coupons for local restaurants, and even a chance to win a Mercedes-Benz with a hole-in-one! Guests were also treated to live music from Beatlads.
For more than 70 years, Easterseals of Birmingham has sought to create solutions that change the lives of children and adults with disabilities or other special needs and their families. Services include medical rehabilitation, job training and employment, child care, adult day services, camping and recreation.
