Fiesta Birmingham

Fiesta Birmingham celebrated its 19th year with a “A Pura Vida” (Full Life) theme for 2021. Since 2003, the annual event has celebrated and educated thousands of attendees from across the southeast about Alabama’s growing Hispanic community through the best of art, music, dance, food and culture.

From storytelling to soccer, guests journeyed through more than 20 represented cultures from Hispanic countries through music, dancing, performing arts, children’s activities, cultural education, nonprofit and health-related resources. Attendees enjoyed different sponsored “villages'' that were set up at Fiesta BHAM. Villages included The City of Birmingham Cultural Village, The Regions Bank Community Village, The Children’s of Alabama, Jefferson County Department of Health Health and Wellness Village, the Multi-Cultural Food Village, presented by Michelob Ultra and Michelob Organic Seltzer, as well as a variety of musical acts performing on the Coca Cola Main Stage. The Alabama Power Family Village included Arts and Crafts, Kids Activities, Family Activities, Face Painting, Balloon Art, Appearance by Vulcan and Vespa, Babe and Millie Ruth and special presentations from the Legion and The World Games

Fiesta is possible due to the support of sponsors including faithful partners, including Coca-Cola Bottling Company UNITED, the City of Birmingham, Tito's Handmade Vodka, Jefferson County Department of Health, Abogados Centro Legal, Mi Pueblo Supermarket, The Latino News, La Jefa, Viva Health, and many others.

Proceeds from Fiesta BHAM 2021 will go to support scholarships for Hispanic students in the Alabama community. In the last 18 years, Fiesta has awarded more than $80,000 in scholarships to deserving Hispanic students through the Arte Latino Scholarship and the Logros Latino Scholarships.
