Celebrating 10 years of On River Time nonprofit, this year’s Casting Hope is a special one featuring Keynote Speaker, Brodie Croyle of Big Oak Ranch. The Croyle family played an important role 10 years ago in the start of On River Time, and John Croyle, founder of Big Oak Ranch was honored at the event.
Supporters from Birmingham and across the country gathered at the Ballroom at The Club.
The event featured a live and silent auction as well as “Fund a Need”. One item in our live auction that attendees bid on is an original painting by one of our former campers. Casting Hope is our most important fundraiser of the year, and helps to raise money to provide life-affirming programming (including our fly fishing camps in Idaho) to children of abuse and neglect living in four children’s homes.
Casting Hope was emceed by On River Time’s Executive Director, Wendy Garner. Guin Robinson served as the auctioneer. Our new Miss Alabama Lindsay Fincher joined us as well. Music was provided by The All Star Band. We are grateful for our generous sponsors and supporters who play an important role in helping to change the trajectory of the lives of children from difficult backgrounds.
