The Alabama Wildlife Federation held their annual Wild Game Cook-Off at the Birmingham Zoo on September 21st. With cook teams competing for the top award, guests enjoyed wild game samplings including entrees such as venison, duck, dove, pheasant and much more! The event also included live music, door prizes, a raffle, and a silent auction. The AWF Cook-Off competitions have become an excellent way for backyard chefs to show off their culinary skills and enjoy some good old fashion fun, fellowship, and fabulous food.
The Alabama Wildlife Federation (AWF) is the oldest and largest non-profit conservation organization in Alabama. The AWF was established by sportsmen in 1935 to promote the conservation and wise use of our wildlife and natural resources and to ensure a high quality of life for future generations of Alabamians.
