The 8th Annual Sweetwater Outreach Gala & Auction took place on Friday, February 27th, at the B&A Warehouse in downtown Birmingham. The event began with a cocktail hour, followed by live music by Tom Gassaway, dinner, a silent auction, and a live auction for the Adopt-a-School program.
This event benefits Sweetwater Outreach’s future projects, including the Water for Schools project, which provides water access and purification to schools in Kenya. The Adopt-a-School program gives donors an opportunity to make a direct impact by partnering with a specific school and providing a purification system.
Sweetwater Outreach (501c3) began in Birmingham 12 years ago and has worked in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, the Congo, and Sierra Leone. With community support, Sweetwater Outreach hopes to continue to grow and duplicate its sustainable model in more countries in the future.
