**Yoga Has Helped Me:**
I have struggled with anxiety for most my life. Luckily, yoga has been a good friend and companion of mine for many years. Yoga has helped me find balance both physically and metaphysically when I feel overwhelmed, lost, or lonely. Yoga expands far beyond the mat and into my daily life through practicing, compassion, understanding, and patience with myself and others.

**Self-Described Personality:**
I am creative and imaginative. I am introverted, but that does not mean I am shy. I love animals, to travel, learn about new cultures, go on adventures, but most of all to practice and teach yoga. **Motivational Tip:**
Grit, curiosity, and character are more important than IQ. Bravery is more effective than perfection. Give praise to effort more than intelligence. And drink lots of water!

*Favorite Yoga Clothes:***I feel flexible and confident wearing Lulu- lemon. I love wearing their "Free To Be Zen" bra and "Wunder Under" pants. From indoor to outdoor yoga, playing on the mat or playing with my dogs their clothes are always durable. I have a sewing machine and have recently gotten into creating my own clothes as well. The thing that is most important to remember is that yoga is not a fashion show. Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable and confident and your practice will excel.**

*Can’t Live Without Beauty Product:***I regularly use Coconut oil and or Jojoba oil. I don’t wear makeup often nor do I use lotions or hair products. However, I have psoriasis and daily use of these oils help maintain my skin to be healthy and strong.**

*Mood Setting Music:***During a yoga class, the vibrations of a tone from the instruments pulsing through the speakers mimic the vibrations in our bodies and inspire rhythm and movement. Right now my favorite artist is Yellow Days, and specifically the song "Gap in the Clouds". However, I found it important not to rely on music alone to motivate a yoga practice. Sometimes, the music of one’s own breath is hypnotic and beautiful, the sound of rain or wind is melodic, and of course we have birds and other critters speaking to you while you move.** *Go To Gadget:***I have to have a juicer. I love my juicer. My favorite juice is carrots, kale, and ginger.**

## I am a certified Personal Trainer. I teach Meditation, Ashtanga, Vinyasa, and Slow Burn at The Yoga Circle throughout the week, and geriatric yoga at Danberry Inverness monthly. I am also the director and co-lead instructor with Shannon Hancock of Vulcan Yoga Teacher Training (VYTT) held at The Yoga Circle. Vulcan Yoga Teacher Training is a 200 hour RYT certified yoga school. Our training is unique because it takes a multidisciplinary approach to a yoga education. It encompases Ashtanga, Kundalini, Vinyasa, and Yin.
