***Forecast is located at 1707 28th Ave S.*** *The salon interior, by Black Design Architecture, is inspired by Mid-Century Modern design with some custom pieces created by Homewood’s Soho Retro. Brandino Brass created the exterior lighting and door hardware and Duncan Designs was the contractor for the overall construction of the building. SignAGE created our exterior signs and the beautiful metal sign that greets every client as they arrive. Every detail was hand chosen by Mark and Brittany - it was important to have a modern environment for all of their guests to feel at home.*
State of the Art*Forecast has state of the art technology never before seen in Birmingham. The importance of lighting is critical to ensure the right color and a precise cut so the investment into **Freestyle Systems Spectra Lights** was essential. The lights give the appearance of actual sunlight so that the guests see what they see when they walk out the door. Also installed is **Freestyle’s Weightless Blow Drying System**. The system suspends the dryer from above and supports the total weight of the dryer so that it’s easier for the stylist to maneuver. When in use the dryer feels like it’s floating.*
### Mark Hyde
Born in Birmingham, Mark took a part-time job at a modeling agency while in high school. He began styling hair and applying makeup on the models and it came very natural to him, like he had always had the talent. He decided to go to hair school immediately after finishing high school and that’s how his journey began.Quickly after graduating Wynona’s International School of Cosmetology in Homewood he became a success and has been one of Birmingham’s most successful stylists. Since working at 2 of Birmingham’s elite salons, it was always his desire to open his own business. Mark loves his 2 dogs, his mid-century Modern Home and is the proud co-owner of Forecast.
### Brittany McNaughton
Born in Birmingham, Brittany has been doing hair since she was young. It was in her blood, although, her retail career as a Regional Director took her to Chicago and eventually back to Birmingham. As she focused on what would really make her happy, she realized she had to follow her dream as a child to become a stylist. She attended the Aveda Institute Birmingham, graduated as the #1 student in the school and within 3 years she was one of the top stylists in the Birmingham area.Brittany lives in her downtown loft, enjoys impromptu gatherings with friends and is the proud co-owner of Forecast.
