Touchdowns! Nachos! Rihanna! Victory! Defeat (but we’ll get ‘em next year)! Every emotion and an assortment of great foods and beverages are going to be experienced by football fans across the nation this Sunday. Watching with friends helps navigate this rollercoaster of an experience, which has led to its recommendation by 9 out of 10 football-watching specialists. Birminghamians have many great options to choose from. Here are a few of our favorites.
Birmingham District
What’s the only place better than a brewery to watch a football game at? A brewery that is giving away free hot dogs! Birmingham District is wearing its superhero cape this Sunday while offering free brats to pair with its fantastic brews and large outdoor patio. Gus’s World Famous Fried Chicken is also right next door for even more great food options.
Al’s on Seventh
Al’s on Seventh is well-known for their spectacularly fun drag shows, but the bar provides so many other fun moments throughout the year as well. Karaoke, holiday parties, and football watch parties are just as memorable. I’ve watched one Auburn game on the back porch and had the time of my life! The venue is continuing the fun this Sunday with a wonderful Super Bowl and halftime watch party.
Black Market
Black Market is always a good time. Countless TVs, colorful decor, great food, and delicious drinks make it easy to do so. Things get even better this Sunday evening for the Super Bowl with Blue Moon, Miller Lite, and Crown Royal specials. All you have to do is show up and have fun.
Cahaba Brewing
Cahaba Brewing has a wonderful day of Super Bowl deals and watching planned for residents of the Magic City. Drink specials include $5 pints of their LoCal series which features Lager, Hazy IPA, Amber, and Berry beers. The Current is also joining in on the fun by offering $2 off on wing orders! The brewery’s abundance of televisions makes it easy to find the perfect game-watching spot as well.
Sidewalk
You go to a dentist when you want to clean your teeth. You go to Las Vegas if you want to watch Battle Bots live. You go to Sidewalk Cinema if you want to watch things. It’s what they do. The theater is hosting a watch party in the lobby, and promises to be one of the most fun viewing experiences in Birmingham.
