Thanksgiving week is upon us! Time spent with loved ones and delicious food is just ahead, and that includes celebrations with some of our favorite Birmingham establishments. These restaurants and venues spend every day of each year ensuring that their chosen family members and patrons feel loved and cared for. Multiple Magic City establishments take this caring attitude to new heights during the holiday season, including Thanksgiving week. Here are a few fun gatherings to look forward to.
Dragsgiving Fest at Al’s on Seventh (Wednesday)
There’s nothing quite like a holiday celebration at Al’s on Seventh! I ended last year’s Christmas at the Lakeview-area favorite and had the time of my life. Al’s will be starting the -Giving festivities with a Dragsgiving this Wednesday night featuring Cierra Symone Campbell, Sam Star, Ara Besque Starr, Imberli, and Lotus along with music from DJ Naka.
Friendsgiving at Rojo (Thursday)
It’s always good to know you have somewhere to go during a holiday. A place full of happy people, free food, and great drinks is even better! Rojo has been providing a loving space for Birminghamians on Thanksgiving day for a few years now, with donations accepted to benefit the Human Rights Campaign-Alabama, and will be open this Thursday.
Breadbox Presents: Friendsgiving at Cahaba Brewing (Friday)
Thanksgiving is about to be even more grateful in Birmingham this Friday as Breadbox brings jams by the Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia to Cahaba Brewing for a Friendsgiving celebration that is full of giveaways, great tunes, and good vibes. This band features a collection of the Magic City’s finest musicians and is sure to be a great time.
