If you’re looking to play casino games for a good cause, mark your calendars now for Thursday, November 4, when the Alabama/Northwest Florida Chapter of the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation hosts its tenth annual Casino for a Cause.
The event will take place at The Haven, and proceeds from Casino for a Cause will support the Foundation’s programs, including education, support services for Alabamians living with these chronic digestive diseases, and Camp Oasis, a camp for children with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, said the Foundation’s Executive Director Kira Gilbert.
Admission to the event includes an evening of gaming, dinner, drinks, a silent and a live auction, music, prizes (which include a drawing for a backyard barbeque package), and, most importantly, the opportunity to support those living with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis in Birmingham and across the state.
“The mission is the most important reason why anyone should be there,” Gilbert said. “[Attendees will] learn what Crohn’s ulcerative colitis is and how many it impacts and will get to learn about our organization and give back in a fun way.”
