This Mistletoe With a Mission VIP Party is a heartwarming way to celebrate donors who contribute to helping Hoover City Schools students in need. In 2018, Tahara Evans, Director of Hoover-Randle Home & Gardens, set out to open the historic home to the community — offering tours, showcasing its charm, and encouraging locals to host events.
Inspired to create a holiday event with heart, she teamed up with Tracy Bennett Smith and Valerie Cunningham-Trainer from Make-A-Wish Alabama to develop a concept that blended festive décor with local impact. The result: community organizations decorating Christmas trees to tell their own stories. A chance meeting with Donna Bishop, Executive Director of Hoover Helps, sealed the event’s charitable mission. Proceeds from ticket sales would go directly to Hoover Helps, benefiting local children and families.
