13th Annual Funky Monkey

Smile-A-Mile’s Junior Board of Directors hosted the 13th Annual Funky Monkey to raise funds for the organization’s year-round programs that provide hope, healing and love for families in Alabama who are on the childhood cancer journey. The event welcomed 500 attendees and featured a silent auction, live auction, raffle, and silent disco. The highlight of the evening was when a giant gold ribbon was lit from the Hematology/Oncology Floor at Children’s of Alabama. Patients on the floor also shined lights out of the windows. Attendees at the event could see the ribbon and flashed their cell phone lights back at the children. It was a special experience and helped the attendees make a direct connection with the children they are supporting through Funky Monkey.
