Upcoming Concerts in Birmingham This Summer

Birmingham’s live music scene has a new anchor this summer, and it changes everything. The Coca-Cola Amphitheater — the city’s brand new 9,300-capacity fully seated outdoor venue — opened in June 2025, and its inaugural full summer season is already stacked with names worth making plans for.

Between the Amp, the legacy venues, and the intimate spots that have long made this city a great music town, there is genuinely something for everyone this summer. Here’s what’s coming.

At the Coca-Cola Amphitheater

The new amphitheater has hit the ground running. Fully seated and fully outdoors, it’s already one of the best concert experiences in the Southeast. Here’s what’s on the calendar:

Hank Williams Jr. — Friday, June 26
A country legend at a new venue that was practically made for this kind of show. Bocephus in Birmingham on a summer Friday night — it doesn’t get much more Alabama than that.

RÜFÜS DU SOL — Tuesday, June 30
The Australian electronic trio has developed a devoted following for their atmospheric, emotionally rich live shows. This one will close out June with something genuinely special.

Tim McGraw: Pawn Shop Guitar Tour — Thursday, August 13
McGraw is reliably great in an outdoor setting. A strong late-summer pick if you haven’t seen him live.

5 Seconds of Summer — Sunday, August 16
The EVERYONE’S A STAR! World Tour comes to Birmingham just days after McGraw. A fun back-to-back weekend at the Amp.

Mumford & Sons: Prizefighter Tour — Tuesday, September 29
Arguably the marquee show of the season. The Grammy winners are back with a brand new album and the kind of live show that turns casual fans into devotees. Worth planning ahead for.

At Smaller Venues Around Town

The Amp isn’t the whole story. Birmingham’s intimate venues — Saturn, Avondale Brewing Company, Iron City, The Nick — continue to bring in acts that are worth paying attention to. Keep an eye on their schedules throughout the summer for local and touring acts across every genre. Avondale Brewing’s outdoor stage in particular is a summer staple, and Saturn consistently books interesting touring indie and alternative acts.

Keep an Eye Out

Summer concert lineups continue to be announced through July, and Birmingham tends to see a lot of late additions — especially at the amphitheater. Following the Coca-Cola Amphitheater on Instagram (@cocacolaamp) is the fastest way to know when new shows drop, often before they’re widely announced.

Birmingham’s music scene is having a genuine moment right now. Between a world-class new venue and the tight-knit community of smaller spots that have always made this city worth staying in on a Friday night, the summer of 2026 is shaping up to be a memorable one.
