What’s your advice on staying cool during Summer weddings?

<< Wearing your hair in a cute up-do, always keeping water on hand (among other drinks…) and not overeating! There’s nothing worse than being stuffed with food and burning up.

>> Don’t go

<< Setting my makeup with powder and a wet beauty blender

>> Packing a small battery operated fan never hurt- especially if the ceremony is outside.

<< Booze

Do you switch perfumes/colognes in the summer? If so, what’s your go-to?

<< Something lighter with a coconut scent.

>> Joe Malone. If you have one, you know it’s the best. With a variety of scents, I’m pretty sure all are taken/inspired by nature (which can be mixed and layered to make your own unique scent). It’s easy to have seasonal favorites but I use the same all year round. My current favorite is wood sage and sea salt.

<< I love Light Blue by Dolce & Gabbana for summer months

What are your staple summer hair products?

<< Clarifying shampoo

>> ‘It’s a 10’

<< dry shampoo

>> Light leave in conditioner. Love It’s a 10. Easy to spray, brush, shake and go! Let it dry naturally.

<< Olaplex no. #3 after I get out of the shower and Kristin Ess Dry Finish Working Texture Spray for volume!

What shorts length do you prefer on men?

<< 11” inseam 12.5%

>> 9” inseam 37.5%

<< 7” inseam 50%

What’s your most effective Summer skin care product?

<< Origins eye cream with color corrector for the dark circles and pearl powder to reflect light away from the eye making it appear brighter. It also depuffs.

>> Oil free moisturizer

<< Clinique facial gel moisturizer. It saved my life when I suffered from cystic acne and I still use it today.

>> Herbivore Pink Cloud Rosewater Moisture Crème

<< Coola tinted matte sunscreen spf 30

What’s your most cherished beauty or health tip passed down from your mother or grandmother?

<< Don’t wash your hair every day! Keep your eyebrows thick!

>> Deep breaths and drink water. My mother tells me that for any situation or ailment or anything at all. Honestly sometimes it does make me feel better or relaxed or feeling good. But don’t tell her I said that…

<< Drink a tablespoon of organic, unfiltered olive oil every morning to make your hair and nails grow super fast! It really works!!

>> Less is More!!!

What’s your can’t-leave-behind travel necessity?

<< My own soap

>> Earplugs. You never know if it’ll be a loud flight, your partner might snore, or you just want to zone out and pretend to sleep in the car ride

<< A good magazine. Always.

>> sunscreen, eye cream, and a good face mask

Do you use self tanner in the summer?

<< Actually wouldn’t mind if someone knew of a good, easy, subtle self tanner that didn’t smell bad either.

>> I love Fake Bake’s Flawless Darker self tanner from Ulta! I put it on after my shower at night and wash it off in the morning. It looks so natural and doesn’t stain or smell bad!

<< St. Tropez makes a good self tanner foam but I’d love to find one that’s a subtle, gradual build because the one I have has to be washed off after a few hours which isn’t very convenient. But St. Tropez does make good products.
